Why Scribe exists

Serious Bible study has long meant a hard choice: Logos, powerful but expensive and complex; Blue Letter Bible, deep but stuck in a dated, hostile interface; or the wave of casual AI Bible apps with no scholarly depth at all. Scribe is the missing option — the research depth of the originals, in a modern app, for a one-time price.

Who builds it

Scribe is built by Selah AI Consulting Limited, a software company based in New Zealand. The app launched on the iOS App Store in June 2026. Articles on the Scribe blog are written by The Scribe Team — the people who build the app — and fact-checked against the shipped build before publishing.

It's offline-first by conviction: every translation, lexicon, and cross-reference is bundled inside the app, so your study works on a plane, in the field, or anywhere with no signal — and stays private to your device. Scribe has no account system, no analytics, and no cloud sync; your highlights and notes never leave your phone.
