The short version

Scribe has no account, no analytics inside the app, and no server. Your reading position, bookmarks, highlights, and notes are stored only on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or sell your data — because there's nowhere for it to go.

AI research (optional)

If you choose to use AI research, your questions and the relevant passage are sent directly from the app to OpenRouter using your own API key. Scribe operates no intermediary server. OpenRouter and your chosen model provider handle that data under their own privacy policies.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Scribe receives only the receipt needed to unlock Scholar on your device; we don't see your payment details.

This website

This site uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics that record aggregate page views only — no personal data and no cross-site tracking. If you join the Android waitlist, your email is stored solely to notify you at launch.
