Privacy Policy

The short version

Scribe has no account and no analytics inside the app, and runs no server that stores your data. Your reading position, bookmarks, highlights, and notes are kept only on your device — we don't collect, transmit, or sell them. (Buying the optional Classical Commentary Library downloads it once from our server, authorized by your App Store receipt; nothing about your reading is sent.)

AI research (optional)

If you choose to use AI research, your questions and the relevant passage are sent directly from the app to your chosen provider (Anthropic or OpenRouter) using your own API key. Scribe operates no intermediary server. Your provider handles that data under its own privacy policy.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Scribe receives only the receipt needed to unlock Scholar on your device; we don't see your payment details.

This website

This site uses analytics for aggregate traffic only — a cookieless Cloudflare beacon and Google Analytics (which sets its own cookies for that purpose). We don't sell your data or track you across other sites.
