How to use Scribe

Everything in Scribe hangs off two gestures — long-press a verse, tap a word. Here's the whole app in six steps, from install to AI-assisted study.

1. Install and start your free 30 days

Download Scribe on iPhone, iPad, or Android. The first 30 days are fully unlocked — every translation, word study, the lot — with no card and no account.

2. Pick a translation and read

All 14 translations (12 English + 2 Tagalog) ship inside the app, so reading never needs a connection. Nine of them — including BSB, MSB, and KJV — stay free forever after the trial.

3. Long-press a verse to open the study menu

The study menu is the heart of the app. Press and hold any verse and you get:

• Bookmark — save the verse to come back to later.
• Highlight — pick a color, or remove a highlight you no longer want.
• Select verses to copy — extend the selection and copy a passage out.
• Commentary — read what Spurgeon, Matthew Henry, and ten more classic commentators said about this verse — with the Classical Commentary Library add-on.
• Word Study — jump into the Greek or Hebrew behind the verse (Scholar).
• Expound — ask the AI research assistant to work through the verse, grounded in the text and lexicons (Scholar + your own AI key).

4. Tap a word on BSB or MSB for the Greek and Hebrew

Every word in the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and Majority Standard Bible (MSB) is tagged with its Strong's number. With Scholar, tap any word to open its word study: the original Greek or Hebrew, transliteration, Strong's gloss, the full Liddell-Scott-Jones (Greek) or Brown-Driver-Briggs (Hebrew) definition, Hebrew morphology decoded into plain English, and a concordance of every verse that uses the same word. Read in any translation you like — switch to BSB or MSB when you want to dig.

5. Search all 14 translations, offline

Type a word or the fragment of a verse you half-remember and Scribe finds it instantly, across all 14 translations, with no network. Search is available on every tier, including free Reading Mode.
