What Greek and Hebrew lexicons does Scribe use?
Scribe puts the full Liddell-Scott-Jones (LSJ) lexicon behind Greek words and Brown-Driver-Briggs (BDB) behind Hebrew, alongside the shorter TBESG and TBESH glosses. Every word in the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and Majority Standard Bible (MSB) is tagged with its Strong's number.
Which translations have tap-a-word study?
The BSB and MSB. Tap any word for its Strong's number, original-language token, transliteration, and the full LSJ or BDB definition. The other 12 translations are for reading and search.
Is morphology shown for both Greek and Hebrew?
Hebrew morphology is decoded into plain English (for example, 'Qal Perfect 3ms'). Greek parsing is not decoded, but Greek word study still gives you the Strong's number and the full LSJ entry on tap.
Does word study work offline?
Yes. Every translation, lexicon, and cross-reference is bundled in the app, so reading, search, and tap-a-word study work with no connection. Only the optional AI research assistant uses the internet.
